Information Security Specialist

A Cloud Security Implementer focuses on deploying and configuring security

measures within an organisation's cloud infrastructure. They ensure that cloud

environments are secure and comply with industry standards and regulations.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Security Configuration:

Deploy and configure security tools and technologies in cloud environments.

Implement security controls such as firewalls, encryption, identity and access

management (IAM), and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).

2. Compliance and Standards:

Ensure cloud security configurations comply with industry standards and

regulatory requirements.

Perform regular security audits and assessments.

3. Policy Implementation:

Develop and enforce security policies and procedures specific to cloud

environments.

Implement best practices for cloud security.

4. Risk Management:

Identify potential security risks and implement measures to mitigate them.

Monitor cloud environments for vulnerabilities and apply patches or updates as

needed.

5. Collaboration and Documentation:

Work with IT and development teams to integrate security measures into cloud

solutions.

Document security configurations, policies, and procedures.

Provide training and support to ensure proper implementation of security

measures.

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their security

services.

Strong understanding of cloud security architecture and best practices.

Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, encryption, IAM,

IDS/IPS).

Analytical Skills:

Ability to identify security risks and implement effective solutions.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Communication Skills:

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Experience and Certification:

Minimum one year of experience in implementing cloud security measures.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), AWS

Certified Security Specialty is a plus).
