What You'll Do:

As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will be pivotal in shaping and driving the technical vision for Stream Security’s platform. Your work will have a significant impact on our product’s capabilities and overall company direction.

• Lead Technical Strategy: Develop and communicate a technical vision aligned with product goals, identifying opportunities to integrate cutting-edge technologies and methodologies that enhance our platform’s robustness, scalability, and security posture.
• Architect and Scale Core Infrastructure: Spearhead the design, development, and optimization of our core components to model complex cloud infrastructures, covering all elements, from compute and security to networking and Kubernetes.
• Mentorship and Leadership: Serve as a mentor and technical advisor, guiding engineering teams in best practices and promoting a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.
• Cross-Organizational Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, and operations teams to define feature requirements, design robust solutions, and push scalable implementations into production across large-scale systems.
• Champion Quality and Delivery: Assume ownership over development timelines, delivery standards, and production reliability. Drive initiatives to improve performance monitoring and implement industry best practices for maintaining high-quality standards.
• Drive Future-Focused Development: Identify and prioritize strategic development initiatives, guiding future project roadmaps that align with the company’s long-term objectives and leverage available resources effectively.

Requirements

Mandatory:

• 10+ years in software development, primarily in a SaaS environment that uses Agile methodologies
• BSc in Computer Science.
• Extensive experience in cloud infrastructure and architecture, including deep expertise in compute, security, networking, and Kubernetes.
• Proven ability to scale and deploy large-scale cloud systems in production environments.
• Working with NoSQL and relational databases
• Advanced cloud provider expertise: Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proficiency in Python; capable of delivering high-quality code and leading complex coding initiatives.
• Excellent English, written, and verbal communication

Advantages:

• Experience in GoLang
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert and or similar credentials
• Track record of leading technical teams or mentorship within engineering groups.
• Experience in cybersecurity.
