R&D Control and Electronics Practical Engineer

In this role, you will lead the development of cutting-edge control, electrical, and electronic systems across the entire product lifecycle, from concept and POC to field implementation. You will play a vital role in solving complex multidisciplinary challenges, optimizing processes, and driving innovation in the fields of agriculture and food technology.

Definition & Responsibilities

·      Design, document, and execute innovative control, electrical, and electronic systems while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop groundbreaking products in the food and agriculture sectors.

·      Lead the development process from conceptualization to POC, field implementation, and production, ensuring seamless transitions and efficient system integration.

·      Drive the creation of innovative concepts, taking ownership of their execution and overseeing every stage of their development.

·      Coordinate multidisciplinary projects requiring collaboration across various organizational and external entities.

·      Provide hands-on solutions for control, electrical, and electronic challenges, including identifying issues, conducting research, prototyping, validating feasibility, and transitioning to in-house or subcontractor production.

·      Offer technical support for operations and production floors, including troubleshooting, assemblies, wiring, consulting, and overseeing subcontractors.

·      Document and maintain comprehensive records to preserve institutional knowledge and ensure project continuity.

Requirements

·      Education: Practical Engineer in electrical, Electronics, Robotics with 5+ years of experience in related disciplines.

·      Proven expertise in working with development boards like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or equivalent platforms.

·      Advanced proficiency in technical English, with strong skills in documenting technical instructions and processes.

·      Experience managing procurement processes and collaborating with subcontractors and manufacturers.

·      Strong skills in creating technical drawings and understanding schematic diagrams.

·      Hands-on experience with electrical and electronic systems, including soldering, wiring, and working with tools like oscilloscopes.

·      Familiarity with low-voltage electrical systems, embedded systems, and electro-mechanical designs.

·      Ability to independently manage workflows, define project requirements, and set scopes across various technical domains (e.g., electrical, mechanical, software).

·      Familiarity with diagramming and wiring tools (e.g., VISIO) and experience presenting project milestones and documentation.

·      A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work in workshop environments.

·      Strong teamwork skills, collaboration, and the ability to thrive in a startup environment.
