Backend Team Lead - Java

We are looking for a talented hands-on backend team leader to lead one of our Engineering teams.

Your primary responsibility will be to:

• Design, build, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.
• Provide technical and personal guidance and mentorship to your team members.
• Work closely with the VP engineering, other group managers, and team leads to achieve business goals.
• Work alongside the PM prioritizing tasks features development management, and planning product releases.
• Provide architecture oversight, encouraging the team to innovate and develop edge technologies.
• Provide high code quality and demonstrate high development standards.

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Minimum 3 years experience of hands-on leading a team in Agile methodology
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Backend development of complex systems
• Proficient in Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
• Experience with Kafka, and Docker – a must
• Experience with SQL- a must
• DBs - Postgres, Mongo, or Cassandra - a must
• Strong Leadership skills – Hands-on, ability to inspire, motivate, train, and manage the team to meet high goals
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
