Operations Manager – Relocation to Africa

A well-established company operating across multiple African countries is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee and optimize operations at a large-scale agricultural site in Africa. This is a relocation opportunity, offering a challenging, hands-on role with excellent conditions for a dedicated and results-driven professional.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of a key agricultural facility, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. This role requires a highly organized, hands-on leader with strong technical and managerial expertise who thrives in dynamic farm environments.

✅ Managing, maintaining, and operating farm facilities and agricultural equipment, ensuring quick response to technical malfunctions and full infrastructure availability.

✅ Overseeing warehouse operations, inventory, and procurement, ensuring efficient material supply and logistics.

✅ Managing a vehicle fleet and energy infrastructure, including routine maintenance and long-term planning.

✅ Leading large teams (100+ employees) and working closely with local staff, fostering an efficient and well-organized work environment.

✅ Implementing operational procedures, monitoring preventive maintenance plans, and managing the operational budget, ensuring financial targets are met.

✅ Supervising contractors and suppliers, managing engagements, and ensuring quality control for outsourced maintenance and operations services.

✅ Tracking, reporting, and continuously improving workflows, ensuring adherence to schedules and operational standards.

✔️ Proven managerial experience in operations, logistics, and team leadership in complex environments.

✔️ Strong technical expertise – hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, or infrastructure fields.

✔️ Relevant education – degree in Industrial & Management Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field, or a certified technician/practical engineer – preferred but not mandatory.

✔️ Hands-on, highly organized, yet adaptable – able to drive efficiency without unnecessary rigidity.

✔️ Resilient and hardworking, capable of thriving in high-pressure environments.

✔️ Background in agriculture, infrastructure, or energy – an advantage.

✔️ Fluent English.

✔️ Experience with ERP systems – an advantage.

✔️ Willing to relocate and work in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

🚀 Full relocation package (single-status) – including flights, accommodation, and all necessary arrangements.

🌍 Work cycles: 7 weeks on-site, 2 weeks leave (flights covered by the company).
