The Payment Processing Optimization Manager is responsible for improving payment processing operations' efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. This role focuses on maximizing transaction success rates, optimizing fraud rules, and ensuring a balanced approach between fraud prevention and revenue generation.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in payment systems, especially credit card transactions, and a strong data analysis and risk mitigation background.

Responsibilities:

• Smart Routing Optimization: Operate and manage the Smart Routing Engine to ensure optimal credit card transaction routing.
• Data-Driven Insights: Analyze transaction data and metrics to identify opportunities for improving success rates, reducing costs, and increasing revenue.
• Fraud Rule Optimization: Optimize fraud prevention rules, ensuring the right balance between minimizing fraud and maximizing revenue.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, finance, and clearing house teams to enhance payment processing strategies.
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor credit card processing flows, recommending improvements based on performance data.
• Reporting & BI Tools: Develop and maintain reports using Looker, Tableau, or similar tools to track KPIs and transaction performance.
• Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to payment processing and routing.
• Industry Trends & Compliance: Stay updated on payment technologies and industry trends, adjusting strategies accordingly.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in the payments industry with a focus on credit card processing.
• Proven expertise in optimizing payment systems, transaction success rates, and fraud prevention measures.
• Experience with business intelligence tools like Looker or Tableau.
• Strong understanding of credit card networks and risk mitigation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with payment gateways and acquiring banks.
• Experience with A/B testing of routing strategies.
