Donor Marketing professional

The Weizmann Institute of Science (WIS) is seeking to hire an experienced donor Marketing professional for the Donor Marketing & Communications Unit Head role.

The Unit Head will head a team of content providers housed within the greater Resource Development department to implement, evaluate, and steward a wide-ranging, innovative, and effective marketing & communications program for a worldwide donor audience.

About the Role:

• Develop a strategic marketing and communication vision in partnership with the Head of Resource Development
• Partner with the WIS Communications team to align WIS’s brand identity and fundraising materials
• Create a proactive donor marketing strategy that engages, motivates, and retains donors by: Identifying and developing new marketing channels
• Developing strategic donor communications and collateral by leading the development of messaging for fundraising initiatives and design for mass marketing materials and videos
• Working closely with the Weizmann International Committees to design and introduce new marketing strategies
• Assessing the donor impact of communication and marketing work
• Ensure that all WIS English-language digital and new media materials are cutting-edge, donor-centric, and are created at a level of professionalism that appropriately represents WIS in the international arena
• Supervise the large team of content providers
• Operate in an international, fast-paced environment

Required Background:

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience in donor/development communications and/or marketing strategy
• Understanding of the donor life cycle and needed communication at each stage
• Outstanding English & Hebrew writing skills and oral communication skills, including experience writing donor-facing materials
• Excellent interpersonal relations and a keen desire to collaborate with colleagues in order to achieve the best possible results
• Highly self-motivated with very high personal standards in strategy, writing, editing, and production, meeting deadlines, and developing productive interpersonal relationships in order to work toward a common goal
• Proven experience successfully building and leading teams
