Role Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Scientist to take our artificial intelligence capabilities to the next level. In this role, you will enhance our existing AI models with advanced techniques, working within our engineering team to develop state-of-the-art detection systems, tailored for distributed energy infrastructure security. Your expertise will be instrumental in revolutionizing AI-based threat detection for distributed energy and EV charging networks, while ensuring enterprise-grade reliability.

Responsibilities

• Continue to enhance our existing AI models with cutting-edge techniques for energy infrastructure security

• Build and maintain data pipelines for real-time processing of security telemetry

• Implement custom detection operators in our Java-based Flink processing engine

• Lead research initiatives to advance the field of energy cybersecurity

• Work closely with engineering teams to productize enhanced detection capabilities

• Drive innovation in model architecture and performance optimization

• Scale our AI systems to handle growing data volumes and new threat patterns

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in both Python (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn) and Java

• Expertise in artificial intelligence and deep learning, including model development and evaluation

• Experience with Apache Flink and real-time stream processing

• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) for model deployment and scaling

• Strong foundation in statistics and probability

• Excellent communications skills for technical and non-technical audiences

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field

Preferred

• Knowledge of cybersecurity or experience in critical infrastructure

• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and data visualization

• Background in research or technical publishing
