At Tesla, our Service Technicians are the backbone of the Service operation, supporting our mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.

As a Lead Service Technician, you will carry out a wide range of technical vehicle repairs, as well as focusing on the continuous development of your technical skills. We’ve created one of the most innovative vehicles ever made, and you will help ensure an equally innovative service to customers.To succeed at Tesla, you must be energetic, highly organized, and smart working. You should have a passion for the brand and the ability to build on your technical skill set and thrive in a team environment.

What You'll Do

Service, repair and improve: Working with Tesla specific software and advanced tools you will be performing repairs and maintenance on all types of Tesla vehicles.

Ensure top quality: Fix it right first time, we trust you to inspect our vehicles diligently before return and pre-delivery

Technical expertise: Demonstrate an excellent understanding of all Tesla vehicle systems and subsystems, demonstrating proficiency in all systems

Driven: Efficient in completing repairs and driven to exceed expectations on quality and productivity.

Collaborate: Working across teams (local and over the region) you will be sharing support and best practices in order to further improve the service experience.

Diagnose: Able to perform all types of diagnostics using wide range of diagnostic tooling and documenting it proficiently in English, with exceptional knowledge of vehicle mechanical and software architecture, while setting the example for others and teaching them the skill

Coach: Act as a leader, coach and support to technicians within the service center and beyond, with all troubleshooting techniques and local escalation paths. Lead, coach and guide technicians to achieve highest quality work in the most efficient manner through formal and informal training.

What You'll Bring

Technically experienced: You have extensive professional experience performing vehicle service and repairs working within automotive, EV preferred but not required.

Technically qualified: You have relevant certification to perform vehicle repairs in [country]. You will self-manage your technical expertise development.

A good communicator: You speak and write [English and local language] well and know how to get your point across clearly and respectfully.

Willingness to take the lead in the workshop, ensuring workshop flow is maintained and improved, driving performance.

Excellent ability to mentor and develop more junior technicians in their work and demonstrate an attitude of leading by example

Demonstrated an excellent ability to engage in process improvements and ensuring documentation for knowledge sharing among peers and fellow technicians

Flexible: You may work in shifts to support your team, which may include weekends, morning and evening shifts.
