Web Analytics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Google Analytics Engineer to join our team. This role requires a strong technical background, a deep understanding of web analytics, and a passion for data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing Google Analytics, designing and implementing data collection frameworks, and providing actionable insights to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Google Analytics Implementation:
• Design, implement, and maintain Google Analytics tracking on our websites and mobile apps.
• Configure tracking parameters, events, and custom dimensions to capture valuable user data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve tracking issues to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Data Layer Implementation:
• Collaborate with development teams to implement the data layer and ensure seamless data flow to Google Analytics.
• Define and document data layer variables and events to provide clear guidelines for developers.
• Google Tag Manager:
• Design, implement, and manage Google Tag Manager containers to streamline tag management and reduce implementation time.
• Create and deploy tags, triggers, and variables to efficiently manage various tracking solutions.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Analyze website and app usage data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop custom reports and dashboards to visualize key metrics and insights.
• Utilize advanced analytics techniques, such as cohort analysis, funnel analysis, and segmentation, to uncover deeper insights.
• Data-Driven Insights:
• Translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations to drive business decisions.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, UX and other teams to provide data-driven recommendations for optimization and growth.
• Stay Updated:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Google Analytics features, best practices, and industry trends.
• Continuously improve our data collection and analysis processes to optimize performance.
  
  

• +3 years of professional experience as a data engineer or similar role of working with data.
• Strong technical skills, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• In-depth knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
• Experience in implementing data layers and tracking events.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Looker Studio.
• Experience in recording and data analysis such as Smartlook. MS Clartiy – an advantage
• Proficiency in google analytics big query.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
