About the role:

Bounce is seeking a Controller to oversee our finance operations and help guide our financial strategy during a critical phase of growth.

You will play an integral role in shaping the company’s financial future, managing the month-end close process, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency across our finance function.

As a Controller, you will:

• Finance Operations & Month-End Close: Lead daily finance operations and ensure the month-end close process is accurate and completed on time, providing reliable financial statements.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting: Provide in-depth financial analysis (including Budget vs. Actual and trend reports) to support business decisions and guide strategy.
• Accounting Research & Compliance: Keep up-to-date with evolving accounting standards and local tax regulations. Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements while conducting research on complex accounting matters.
• Audit Management: Manage the audit process, working closely with external auditors to ensure accurate, industry-standard financial reporting.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across the company to collect insights, data, and feedback, driving better financial decision-making and alignment.
• Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

What you’ll need

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field. CPA certification and experience with a Big 4 accounting firm required.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a Controller, preferably within a high-growth startup or fintech company.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance. Proficient in accounting software and financial systems, with NetSuite experience a plus.
• Startup Mindset: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, balancing multiple tasks and priorities.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to communicate complex financial data clearly and effectively.
