Principal Linux Infrastructure Engineer - 3217

A leading company in digital privacy , security and performance solutions field is looking for a Principal Linux Infrastructure Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Kernel Development & Community Contribution: Lead advanced kernel development projects and maintain active contributions to the Linux community, with a focus on optimizing network drivers and enhancing system performance.

• Performance Testing & Optimization: Create and maintain dedicated environments and labs to rigorously test and optimize system performance; analyze results and implement improvements that increase system speed, resilience, and scalability.

• Network Driver Development: Develop and refine custom network drivers tailored to the high-demand needs of our digital privacy and performance solutions.

• Onboarding & Collaboration: Spend the first three months on-site at our R&D Center in Hong Kong to integrate with our team, followed by monthly one-week visits to work side-by-side with the CTO and Head of Science on ongoing strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

o Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.

o PhD highly preferred, with published research and notable contributions to the Linux/kernel domain.

o Minimum of 10 years in Linux infrastructure and kernel development, with documented contributions to kernel repositories.

o Extensive experience in network driver development, performance testing frameworks, and significant contributions to the Linux kernel community.

o C programming, Linux kernel architecture, and network protocol optimization- A must

o Capabilities in performance tuning and development of testing frameworks- Advantage

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on, proactive approach to systems architecture and performance optimization.
