Mechanical Engineer (Aerospace)

Job description

BlueBird Aero Systems is leading developer and manufacturer of superior Tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), combining advanced Israeli technology and military experience with proprietary in-house design, development and manufacturing.

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Mechanical R&D Department!

In this challenging and dynamic role you will:

• engage in the design of aircraft structure, assemblies design, electronic packaging, mechanical mechanisms and more.
• work with diverse manufacturing methods including composite materials, sheet metal, milling, 3D printing, injection moulding etc.
• develop cutting-edge solutions to maximize product performance.
• provide engineering support to additional departments such as Production, Integration, Purchasing and Quality Control.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

5 years of relevant experience, preferably from the Aerospace & Defense industry.

Fully proficient in Solidworks, including PDM.

Experience with structural design using composite materials.

Well-established ability to perform strength calculations on metal parts.

Additional skills and qualities that will give you an advantage:

Top-Down planning and previous work with Multidisciplinary systems.

Ability to lead DR,CDR surveys.

Excellent interpersonal skills, team player, creative and able to work under pressure.
