Senior Networking QA Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Networking QA Engineer to join our

team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing and validating

networking products, ensuring they meet the highest standards

of quality and performance. This role involves setting up and

maintaining lab environments, running and modifying

automation test suits, executing test plans, and collaborating

with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.

Responsibilities:

 Lab Setup and Maintenance:

o Design, set up, and maintain network lab environments including

routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.

o Ensure the lab infrastructure is up-to-date and functioning

optimally.

 Testing and Validation:

o Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test

scripts for networking products and solutions.

o Perform functional, performance, regression, and scalability

testing.

o Validate firmware and software updates for networking

equipment.

 Troubleshooting and Debugging:

o Identify, document, and track defects and issues.

o Collaborate with the development and engineering teams to

troubleshoot and resolve issues.

 Automation:

o Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve testing

efficiency.

o Implement automated testing tools and frameworks where

applicable.

 Documentation:

o Create comprehensive test reports, documenting test

procedures, results, and issues.

o Maintain accurate records of test environments, configurations,

and procedures.

 Collaboration:

o Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA

engineers to ensure product quality.

o Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements,

design, and potential problems.

 Continuous Improvement:

o Stay updated with the latest networking technologies and

industry trends.

o Propose and implement improvements to testing processes and

lab environments.

Required Qualifications:

 Education:

o Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology,

Electrical Engineering, or related field.

 Experience:

o Proven experience in a networking or QA role.

o Hands-on experience with network devices (routers, switches,

firewalls, etc.).

o Experience with testing and debugging network protocols

(TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, etc.).

o Experience with test equipment

 Skills:

o Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.

o Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.).

o Familiarity with network simulation and testing tools (Wireshark,

Ixia, XENA, Spirent, etc.).

o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

o Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

 Advanced Skills:

o Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (Jenkins, Git and

etc.).

o Knowledge of wireless networking technologies and security
