Director of Research & Development (R&D)

We are searching for a dynamic and forward-thinking Director of R&D to lead our development teams, ensuring the continuous evolution of our industry-leading cyber risk quantification platform.

Your leadership will be key in driving our end-to-end development process—from initial planning through product delivery and beyond. If you have a proven track record of building and scaling SaaS platforms, expertise in cloud-based architectures, and a passion for analytics or data science, we want to meet you!

What You'll Do:

• Lead Development Teams: Inspire, manage, and mentor a cross-functional team of engineers and developers, promoting collaboration and ensuring successful project delivery.
• Oversee Full Product Lifecycle: Lead the complete development process—from concept, architecture, and development to deployment, production, and ongoing maintenance.
• Drive Innovation: Shape the technical vision and strategy for our cyber risk platform, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and continuous innovation to keep us ahead of the curve.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with product management, customer success, and sales teams to ensure seamless, customer-centric product delivery on time.
• Ensure Quality & Efficiency: Maintain top-tier standards for code quality, documentation, and testing to deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable products.
• Elevate Analytics & Modeling: Oversee the development of advanced analytics, data science, and statistical models, working with data teams to maximize the platform’s impact in the cyber security domain.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven Leadership: 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams, with a strong track record of delivering successful products in a cloud-based SaaS environment.
• Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, microservices, and modern development practices. A deep understanding of both backend and frontend development is a plus.
• Analytical Mindset: Background in analytics, data science, or statistics is highly advantageous. Experience in building data-driven platforms or products is a strong plus.
• Cybersecurity Knowledge: Prior experience in cybersecurity, cyber risk, or related fields will be a strong advantage.
• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent experience. Advanced degrees in analytics or data science are a plus.
