A Day in the Life

This position enables the right candidates to exercise their innovation and execution spirit alongside leadership and managerial skills. It’s an exciting opportunity to step into the world of medical devices, gain experience in development of patient monitoring devices and most importantly have an influence on improving patient outcome.

It’s a hybrid position, based in Medtronic Jerusalem office, reporting directly to the R&D manager in Jerusalem. It requires traveling abroad from time to time.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Leading and managing a group of 5-8 mechanical engineers, including professional guidance and mentoring, performance evaluation, task assignments and project resource allocations
• Responsible of mechanical design outcomes and deliverables for multiple projects.
• Responsible of creating mechanical project planning and ensure group outcomes and deliverables are aligned with overall project timeline
• Establish and maintain excellent work relationship with internal & external interfaces such as corporate tooling group, Project managers, Tech leads and NPI engineers.
• Continuously elevating group capabilities and competency
  
  

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Education: B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience of 5+ years as mechanical team manager
• Fluent English & Hebrew.
• 7+ years of experience in parts design in technologies of machining, extrusion, plastics injection and stamping.
• Experience and knowledge in developing single use products
• Experience and knowledge in developing electrical housing based products
• Experience in design and development within a multidiscipline environment.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in predictive engineering using methodologies of modeling and simulation.
• Experience in transfer from development to production
• Extensive knowledge of design methods for mass production.
• Experience in robust design and reliability methods
• Good familiarity with safety standards (such as EN60601)
• Experience in Mechanical CAD 3D skills
