If you are a proactive, independent, and improvement-oriented individual with a drive for excellence, we are seeking a talented, experienced Platform Architect to join our Developer Platform Group. As a pivotal member of this team, you will lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge solutions, leveraging the cloud and modern technologies.

As a Platform Engineering Architect, you will be responsible for building and refining a platform that supports all R&D efforts. You will design best-in-class architecture to ensure high quality, security, and continuity, focusing on creating robust, efficient, and extensible solutions. You will ensure our platform's architecture is resilient and scalable, capable of evolving to meet growing functional and performance needs.

Qualifications

• Research & Lead: Conduct cutting-edge technology research, including proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives, to explore and validate new tools, approaches, and methodologies.
• Architecture Development: Develop comprehensive architecture plans and design for platform services, aiming to boost productivity, efficiency, and security across R&D.
• Process Ownership: Drive architecture processes to successful implementation and advocate for design simplicity and technical debt reduction.
• Collaboration & Alignment: Work closely with Product Managers and system architects to align architecture with product goals and refine solutions to meet evolving needs.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Partner with architecture leads and participate in cross-functional forums to build, improve, and enhance platform solutions, coaching and mentoring other architects and guiding their development to independence.
  
  

• 3+ years of experience as a software architect.
• 3+ years of experience in architecting cloud-based solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP (AWS preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in one or more programming languages (Python preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in platform engineering or DevOps in high scale
• Education: BA in Computer Science with 10+ years of experience, or MAMRAM graduate with 8+ years of experience in a commercial company.
• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge in serverless architectures, enterprise systems, and solution patterns, with a track record of architecting and launching large-scale products.
• Development Practices: Skilled in Agile and CI/CD development, with a thorough understanding of modern software practices.
• Communication & Documentation: Strong modeling, sketching, and documentation skills, with fluent English and strong communication abilities.
• Decision Making: Demonstrated ability to make well-reasoned decisions that balance architectural and business needs, even with incomplete information.
• Proactive Leadership: A thorough, methodical approach to tasks, with excellent prioritization skills and a natural inclination to lead, motivate, and inspire.
  
  

• Proficiency with modern CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
• You have deployed and managed Infrastructure as Code (CDK,Terraform) for various cloud resources, including container platforms
• You understand distributed, event-based messaging architectures and how they integrate with various cloud services
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture and scaled project environments.
• Experience with distributed application architectures.
• Knowledge of security principles and techniques, such as authentication, authorization, least privilege, etc.
