System Chemist

The position of a system chemist includes hands-on involvement in the development of our first generation industrial machine. The system chemist at Magnus Metal is expected to be a highly experienced system engineer who brings deep system understanding, wide technological knowledge in formulations, enthusiasm, and commitment to the development process, working in tight collaboration with the chemistry department and other development disciplines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gaining knowledge and understanding of the machine's inner workings and driving chemical principles, attaining a holistic view of the casting process and the machine.
• Detecting, characterizing, understanding, and solving unpredicted challenges.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Devising and implementing novel solutions.
• Designing, performing, and analysing on-tool experiments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadline in a fast-paced setting
  
  

• Proven experience in process development
• Experience in hardware-oriented indus
• PhD in chemical / material / Process engineering or a related field, or a highly experienced MSc - must
• trial R&D – mandatory
• Knowledge in in material science and chemistry – advantage
