Disinformation Researcher

ActiveFence’s Disinformation Research team conducts geopolitical research and detects and analyzes malign influence campaigns conducted by threat actors who actively seek to spread mis- and disinformation and propaganda.

We are looking for a researcher who will work with our OSINT analysts to carry out these projects. You should be a Big-Picture-thinker, highly organized, motivated, great at cross-functional work and able to work in fast fast-paced, dynamic environment

The researcher’s main responsibilities include:

• Carrying out media research to understand geopolitical contexts, backgrounds and conflicts
• Packaging the work of OSINT analysts and preparing it for delivery
• Report writing
• Presenting findings from OSINT analysis internally
• Creating compelling customer-facing presentations
• Conducting narrative analysis
• Collecting OSINT data related to elections and geopolitical events
• Pressure testing analyst findings and working together to produce high level deliverables
  
  

Requirements:

Must-haves:

• MA level education
• At least 2 years of full-time work experience
• Excellent research, storytelling and writing abilities
• Broad geopolitical understanding of current events globally
• Native-level English speaker
  
  

Good-to-haves:

• Additional languages (Russian, Chinese, Spanish, French, Arabic, Farsi)
• OSINT skills
• Experience creating infographics
