About The Team:

The Government Relations and Public Policy team covers a wide range of responsibilities: government affairs and government relations; policy and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships. The mission of the team is to earn trust and prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok.

About The Role:

We are looking for someone who is passionate about Internet entertainment services, with a profound knowledge of the regulatory and political landscape in Israel. You will become part of a global public policy team committed to delivering our vision for a safe, joyful and creative platform. You will be dealing with the most interesting public policy challenges of our time, helping contribute to the success of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with government and policymakers in Israel to represent TikTok's mission, values and principles;
• Represent TikTok at high-tech industry gatherings, trade associations, and coalition meetings.
• Develop strong relationships with the Israeli government, Parliament, NGOs and key partners.
• Actively identify emerging and significant policy issues.
• Review and analyse legislative and regulatory proposals to understand impact on TikTok.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support TikTok's business objectives in Israel.
  
  

• Experience in Public Policy and/or Government Relations and advocacy work.
• Deep understanding of the Israeli political system, environment, and institutions, as well as cultural landscape.
• Very strong network with Israeli policymakers and opinion leaders.
• Very strong understanding of public policy issues around child safety, privacy, and other tech policy issues.
  
  

• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong research and analysis abilities.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Motivation to learn and grow, as well as motivate and inspire others.
• Fluent in English as English is the working language of the company. Proficient in speaking and writing in languages other than English, particularly those relevant to the region, for example, Hebrew would be advantageous.
