System Engineer

Shavit is seeking for a dedicated and responsible Virtualization and storage Specialist!

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and optimize virtualized environments, ensuring the stability and performance of virtual machines, networks, and storage systems.
• Manage and monitor virtualization platforms (vSphere, vCenter) and related tools.
• Work with a variety of VMware products, including VRA, VROPS, NSX, and AVI NETWORK, to support infrastructure needs.
• Automate tasks and processes using scripting languages such as PowerCLI, PowerShell, Bash, Python, and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure that backup, storage, and data integrity requirements are met.
• Provide support and troubleshooting across a wide range of virtualization-related issues.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of virtualized environments.
• Maintain system documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Experience in enterprise-level organizations and managing large-scale virtualized infrastructures.
• Proven expertise in VMware virtualization technologies, specifically vSphere and vCenter – Required.
• Familiarity with VMware products such as VRA, VROPS, NSX, and AVI NETWORK – Advantage.
• Strong automation skills and scripting knowledge in one or more of the following: PowerCLI, PowerShell, Bash, Python, JavaScript – Required.
• Experience with additional virtualization platforms – Advantage.
• High self-learning ability, strong problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused service mentality.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and work well under high-pressure situations.
