Canadian Executive Search Group (USA), a division of Arrow Workforce Solutions, is now hiring Painters on 1st shift for our client in the Service industry located in Carterville,IL.

Start date: ASAP!

Pay rate: $20/hr

Shifts: 1st shift 7 am – 3:30 pm

Monday – Friday / OT is available

Location: Carterville, Illinois

Position Summary: Prepare and sandblast surfaces, then apply protective and decorative paint finishes to various products in accordance with specifications. Formulate, test, mix, and apply liquid coatings to ensure compliance with required standards.

Responsibilities

• Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.
• Preparation of surfaces for painting: includes sanding, cleaning off contaminants, and taping areas not to be painted.
• Reads and understands paint specifications and product data sheets for a variety of paint manufacturers.
• Selects and properly mixes paint for project according to specifications.
• Keeps work area, paint equipment, and tools clean, orderly and in good working condition.
• Contributes to division results and performance.
• Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations.
  
  

• Must be familiar with conventional and painting techniques specific to manufacturing needs.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, charts and schematics.
• Must be dependable and work effectively under pressure, often independently.
• Must be able to pass a yearly pulmonary function test.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screen.
• Preferred: Experience in a manufacturing job shop environment.
