Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Community Manager to join our team, reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). The Community Manager will play a vital role in fostering, nurturing, and growing our network, engaging with members across online platforms, facilitating meaningful connections, and ensuring a vibrant, engaged community aligned with Voice of the People's mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with network members, encouraging active participation through posts, comments, discussions, and user-generated content.
• Event Management: Plan and execute virtual and regional events, including town halls, focus groups, webinars, and networking sessions to foster collaboration and gather insights.
• Content Collaboration: Work closely with the Social Media Manager to create and share relevant, engaging content on the community platform, and develop monthly community newsletters, discussion topics, and event recaps.
• Moderation and Support: Monitor community discussions, ensuring that the platform remains a respectful, welcoming environment, addressing member questions, resolving conflicts, and providing timely support.
• Insights and Reporting: Conduct surveys, collect feedback, and track community activity to report on member engagement, satisfaction, and key insights that inform content and strategic direction.
• Regional Engagement and Support: Assist ambassadors and local chapters, providing them with resources, tools, and guidance to effectively manage and grow their regional groups.
• Growth Strategy: Collaborate with the CMO, Marketing Operations Manager, and other team members to strategize on growth initiatives that align with community interests and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in community management, online engagement, or a similar role, ideally within non-profits, social impact organizations, or culturally-focused communities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for building community and fostering meaningful connections.
• Experience with event planning, digital engagement tools, and online community platforms (e.g., Slack, Mighty Networks).
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills; able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Jewish culture, values, and community dynamics is a plus.
• Proactive, creative, and resourceful with a problem-solving mindset.
