Job Summary
- Define annual safety plan for JLL including subcontractors.
- Field audits for all subcontractors- report every 2 weeks on findings.
- Support Risk assessment for non-routine activities.
- Verify safety curriculum, status, and certification program.
- Lead the Lesson Learned for each safety event, present to client sponsor & EHS for Jerusalem site.
- EHS monitoring and compliance of JLL contractors on site.
- Supporting the safety management of the Jerusalem site with on-site work base. (70%)
- Support on an ad-hoc basis the EHS needs across other RDSM sites where coverage is required. (30%)
- Other duties as required by your line manager.
- Monitor and maintain a regulatory EHS compliance register according to Health and Safety regulations.
- Review Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) from contractors.
- Close collaboration with the client EHS department.
- Active participation in “Good Catch program” including collating Good Catch numbers, Inspections, and SBO’s.
- Upload Good Catches and EHS incidents onto JLL digital systems. (CMO)
- Safety Behavioral Observations (SBO’s) of all personnel.
- Daily walks of work areas including logistical support routes, docks, skips, material storage lay down areas etc.
- Evaluating practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
- Advising employees on how to minimise or ultimately avoid risks and hazards in the workplace.
- Working with and training all employees to manage, monitor and improve the health and safety standards in the workplace.
- Being responsible for all safety inspections in the workplace (for example, monitoring noise levels in a warehouse)
- Monitoring construction sites to ensure that government regulations are complied with, and that Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) laws are followed.
- Conducts toolbox meetings.
- Checking conformance documentation for all personnel, activities, and equipment to ensure site, company, and client expectations; Daily PTP, Manual handling, Work At heights, Hot work, Confined Space…
- Verifies that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use.
- Initiate and organize EHS training of employees and executives.
- Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
- Coordinates registration and removal of hazardous waste.
- Trains and carries out drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, persuasion, and perseverance.
- 2-4 years of experience as safety officer in a global company – High Tech company an advantage
- 2-4 years of experience in construction activities- an advantage
- Good English abilities.
- Proficient in using EHS management systems and software.
- Good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint...)
- Ability to speak in front of an audience and deliver in person and remote EHS training effectively.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Safety officer certification- Must.
- Work on height trainer – an advantage.
- Certificate to write safety plan- an advantage.
- Construction certificate- an advantage.
- Train the Trainer certificate – an advantage.
