Role Purpose

As the Partnership Manager for BIRAX – The British Israel Research and Academic Exchange at the British Council Israel, your primary purpose is to work with the Senior Programme Manager to ensure the successful implementation of the BIRAX programme. The Partnership Manager will contribute to and be responsible for implementing the partnership strategy for BIRAX; ensuring our financial targets are met; ensuring the programme delivers benefit for existing partners; managing a consortium of partners and ensuring the programme remains attractive to existing and new partners.

Main Accountabilities But Not Limited To The Following

• Securing appropriate levels of funding for research grants by working with existing and new partner networks.
• Prepare proposals and manage all contracts in relation to all partnership income.
• Manage a complex network of stakeholders’ partners and donors ensuring they understand the programmes impact and value and that they receive appropriate communications, and reporting.
• Feed into the development of the programme to ensure it remains attractive and relevant to partners.
• Work closely with colleagues in the regional programme hub to ensure that proposals are costed and priced appropriately.
• Ensure that data relating to proposal management is collated, maintained, and stored according to data protection standards.
• Analyses project data, examines project data and performance, reporting on progress and recommending corrective action as needed.
• Write proposals, briefs and annual reports to partners.
• Designing, planning and executing large and small high profile partner forums, stakeholders and researcher engagements.
• Designing and executing donor packs and funding/programme proposals.
• Designing and executing Call for Proposals and managing selection processes.
• Working closely with project manager and other internal and external stakeholders to deliver the full programme.
• Ensuring compliance with organisational standards and procedures.
• Supports the identification and development of professional networks, relationships and partnerships to increase the British Council’s impact and reputation.
• Ensures high quality and accurate pipeline data for country/pillar.
• Conducts specific pipeline and partner/competitor analysis to contribute to business development planning and prioritisation.
• Provides support with development of new business proposals, ensuring that internal and external professional standards are met.
• Hands on conference and event design and organisation.
  
  

Requirements Of The Role

• At least 3 years’ experience of working with partners or donors
• Experience of winning new business
• Experience of proposal writing
• Knowledge of Israel’s donor / partnerships landscape
• Proven knowledge of market analysis and business intelligence, including understanding customer needs
• High-level proficiency in designing and writing high level partnership proposals
• High-level proficiency in designing and writing annual reports
• Deep understanding of finances and financial reports
• Periodical organisational reporting
• High-level proficiency in both spoken and written English and Hebrew.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field or equivalent work experience
