Vice President Research And Development

As the VP of R&D, you will be at the helm of our technology vision and strategy, leading a dynamic team of engineers, researchers, and developers. Your primary focus will be to drive innovation, oversee the development of new products and features, and maintain the high performance and scalability of our SaaS platform. You will work closely with other members of the executive team to align technological initiatives with business objectives and ensure Copyleaks stays ahead in the competitive landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Strategy: Develop and implement the R&D roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving technological growth.
• Team Management: Lead and mentor the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• Product Development: Oversee the development lifecycle of new products and enhancements, ensuring high-quality releases and optimal time-to-market.
• Technical Excellence: Maintain the highest standards in code quality, architecture, and engineering practices.
• Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor developments to proactively adapt and innovate.
• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Sales, and Marketing to integrate feedback and ensure the alignment of technical capabilities with market demands.
• Scalability and Performance: Ensure that Copyleaks’ products maintain high availability, scalability, and performance as the company continues to grow.
• Budget Management: Plan and manage the R&D budget effectively, balancing resource allocation to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 10+ years in software development and engineering leadership roles, with at least 5 years as a senior leader in a SaaS company.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of cloud-based architecture, scalable systems, machine learning, and data science.
• Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing and scaling large engineering teams.
• Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an emphasis on product development and innovation.
• Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills to articulate complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Agility: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the field of distributed computing.
• Prior work in B2B SaaS platforms with high transaction volumes.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
