Vice President Research And Development

A high-tech company developing an AI-based platform that helps Fintech companies enhance the added value they provide to end customers. The platform makes marketing data available in real-time, enabling clients to manage their entire marketing strategy and build customer journeys and campaigns.

The company has been established for 10 years, is financially stable, and serves a diverse range of business clients, primarily abroad.

The office is located in Ramat Gan, near a train station, with one work-from-home day per week.

The role

• Reports directly to the CEO and includes responsibility for managing the development department.
• Producing valuable content for customers.
• Defining aggressive improvement goals for the group and the product, while leading the team to achieve these goals.
• Providing technical leadership, mentoring the team, and implementing best practices.
• Solving problems across all areas (personal, professional, technical, procedural, etc.).
• Supporting the professional growth of group members.
• Recruiting new group members.
• Gaining comprehensive knowledge of the products and how customers use them.
• Collaborating closely with product, customer support, delivery, and support teams to execute features from requirements to field acceptance.

Requirements-

• 4 years’ experience as a VP R&D.
• Experience with managing small development teams to maintain high levels of visibility and efficiency.
• 5 years' experience with Cloud technologies
• Building and managing remote teams -advantage
• Microservice architectures
• Java programming and OO design
• High throughput systems
• CI / CD - not hands on, but must understand the concepts
• Proven technical skills and self-learning ability, capable of thoroughly understanding the functional and technical aspects of a complex system
• Ability to initiate and lead agile processes to completion
• Strong leadership and ownership
