Director of Data Science

Are you ready to lead groundbreaking data science initiatives at a top global technology company? We’re searching for a strategic, forward-thinking Director of Data Science to lead a high-impact team, driving innovative analytics solutions that address complex business challenges in the financial sector and beyond

In this role, you will:

• Lead a high-performing team of data scientists and engineers
• Develop and expand the Labs program
• Influence product strategies that address complex challenges for financial institutions and beyond

What You’ll Bring:

• Advanced degree (MA/MSc or higher) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, or a quantitative field focused on data analysis, applied statistics, machine learning, or deep learning
• 8+ years of hands-on experience as a researcher with a strong business orientation
• 5+ years in managing skilled Data Science and Analytics teams
• Expertise in a broad range of machine learning, statistical methods, and advanced algorithms
• Experience with external data sources, real-time data, and large-scale data processing across both structured and unstructured formats
• Proven track record in solving business challenges (e.g., pricing, product personalization, event detection)
• Proficiency in Python and Scala
• Strong technical foundation with a familiarity with ML/AI and big data tools, especially open-source solutions (e.g., AWS Sagemaker, MLOps tools)
• Mathematical background to interpret applied academic research
• Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills
