Research Laboratory Manager – Nano Chemistry

Position Overview:

The Research Laboratory Manager will oversee laboratory operations, manage research projects, and contribute to the synthesis and analysis of nanomaterials. This role is ideal for a hands-on chemist with a strong background in laboratory work and a passion for scientific discovery and innovation. You will work closely with a collaborative team of scientists and engineers in a fast-paced, research-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership:
• Manage and execute active research projects, including experimental design, data analysis, and result interpretation.
• Conduct literature and patent reviews to support research objectives.
• Laboratory Operations:
• Oversee the daily operation of the laboratory, including managing equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and optimizing workflows for efficiency.
• Write and implement laboratory protocols and reports in accordance with company standards.
• Experimental Work:
• Perform experiments in Nanochemistry, polymer science and organic chemistry, focusing on the synthesis and analysis of nanomaterials.
• Work closely with analytics and microbiology departments to analyze data, applying knowledge of prior experimental results to drive conclusions.
• Scientific Collaboration:
• Participate in scientific meetings and discussions, collaborating with engineers and scientists from the development department to align research with company goals.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in chemistry, material science, nanoscience with at least 2 years of industrial experience; a Ph.D. is advantageous.
• Candidates with previous experience in nanomaterial research, synthesis, and applications will be given preference.
• Proven experience managing research projects, including literature/patent studies and laboratory operations.
• Hands-on experience with inorganic or organic synthesis; expertise in nano-chemistry is a plus.
• Previous experience with inks, paints/coatings and nano-formulations is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills, scientific curiosity, and a proactive attitude.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
