Data Technical Program Manager

Job Description

The Data team at Q is seeking a Technical Program Manager. The ideal candidate should have experience in Data Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and strength in data-related infrastructure concepts. In addition to strong technical knowledge, the ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced rapidly evolving environment, be passionate about solving ambiguous problems, have a bias towards action and have the aptitude to drive the strategic vision and execution of our transformative initiatives. A successful candidate will have led multiple cross-functional technical programs, be familiar with operational best practices and be flexible on implementation details and clever in driving incremental results.

Responsibilities

• Partnering closely with product, engineering, data scientists, and other cross functional teams to scope data programs aligning them with business priorities
• Develop detailed plans, ensuring execution on time and within allocated resources, predict potential risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies to ensure the success of the programs
• Understand the bigger picture and apply your technical expertise and organizational problem solving skills to prioritize and navigate blocking issues
• Deep focus on execution, follow-through, with accountability, and results
• Apply critical thinking to scope and lead ambitious programs
• Initiate and lead cross-team engagements
• Communications with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to enable transparency and quick decision making
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field
• Strong technical backgrounds with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks
• Proven experience in designing and maintaining data collection tools and infrastructure.
• Experience with Data Infrastructure, Data Engineering & Machine Learning Compute
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross functional team environment
• A quantitative approach to problem solving and a collaborative implementer to holistic solutions; a systems thinker
• Ability to simplify the technically complex and drive well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives
• At least 5 years of experience managing technical programs
• Experience and ability to influence without authority across engineering teams
