Role Description:

The Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement process for the company, with an emphasis on identifying new suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, tracking purchase orders, and collaborating with engineering and project teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating purchase orders, monitoring their fulfillment, and implementing processes to reduce costs and optimize procurement for R&D purposes and new product launches.

Responsibilities:

• Issue purchase orders (POs) to suppliers and follow up on fulfillment.
• Review supplier production schedules to meet Venus’ needs and adjust as required.
• Identify and locate new and relevant suppliers for existing products or parts.
• Send Requests for Quotes (RFQs) to suppliers and receive Purchase Quotes (PQs).
• Negotiate with vendors to reduce global company costs and improve company terms.
• Procure for R&D and New Product Introduction (NPI) purposes.
• Attend project meetings and collaborate with engineers to purchase goods.
• Follow up on revisions and product receipts as part of the Engineering Change Orders (ECO) release process.
• Create POs and receive goods in the ERP system.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience working with ERP systems—Priority experience is an advantage.
• Academic education in a relevant field, including a Buyer Diploma or B.A. (preferred).
• Experience in the medical devices industry is an advantage.
