AI/ML Engineer

As an  AI/ML Engineer at LinearB you will drive the development and deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) solutions to enhance LinearB’s Software Engineering Intelligence platform.

This role will focus on delivering solutions and product features that empower development teams to make smarter, faster decisions. You will work with engineering, data, and product teams to create AI solutions that are scalable reliable, and provide timely insights that drive impact for our customers.

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions for analyzing software engineering behaviors and metrics, automating workflows, and enhancing developer productivity. Track usage and success of these solutions and leverage user feedback loops to improve them
• Evaluate and select the best AI/ML algorithms for specific problems, considering business requirements, data availability, and time to market
• Engineer large datasets to be used by AI/ML solutions, dealing with data access and freshness, transformations and ML feature extraction.
• Collaborate closely with data, engineering and product teams to turn insights into platform features and functionalities.
• Regularly research and test new AI/ML advancements and tools that can improve engineering insights and overall platform functionality.

• 5+ years in backend engineering, with a focus on AI/ML or data-intensive systems
• Experience in delivering AI and Model based features to production environments.
• Proven experience in building LLM based solutions, including prompt engineering, embeddings, vector DBs, orchestration frameworks, LangChain, RAG & AI agents 
• Proficient in Python, modern microservices and the AWS environment
• Solid foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and data science, with experience in natural language processing or time-series analysis a plus.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases and handling large datasets.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (mainly AWS), containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless (e.g. AWS Lambda)
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Passionate about improving software development efficiency and applying AI to create impact in real-world applications.
• Excellent communication skills, able to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
• Hands-on experience with AI for code use cases: code generation & completion, test generation, code review and summarization etc.
• Advantage - Deep Learning Knowledge: background in Deep Learning and various neural network architectures such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs), Transformers, and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs).
