Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

The Information Technology Center is hiring a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Technologist with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure. This role involves developing, configuring, and implementing cloud infrastructures to support the organization’s needs.

Responsibilities:

• Operate as a seasoned cloud infrastructure expert with hands-on experience in GCP and Azure.
• Develop, configure, and implement cloud infrastructures within MS Azure and GCP.
• Support cloud infrastructure-related projects and solutions across the organization.
• Plan, build, and maintain cloud-based systems and services.
• Analyze requirements, develop plans, and make recommendations for cloud infrastructure upgrades and adjustments.
• Manage cloud-related processes and projects, including installation, configuration, operation, and support of cloud infrastructures.
• Track cloud infrastructure costs, performance, efficiency, and reliability.
• Enhance automation and operational processes for cloud infrastructure.
• Manage the configuration of supporting systems, such as databases, storage, and cloud-based devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues, including security gaps and performance problems.

Requirements:

• Academic degree – required.
• At least 3 years of experience with GCP and Azure cloud infrastructures – required.
• Strong understanding of GCP and Azure services, products, and tools – required.
• Proven ability to plan and manage infrastructure projects – required.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure security – required.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting – required.
• Experience with containerized systems using Docker and Kubernetes – an advantage.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms, such as AWS, IBM Cloud, and Oracle Cloud – an advantage.
• Experience in software development or scripting in any programming language – an advantage.
• Knowledge of FinOps – an advantage.
• Relevant certification, such as Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Developer or Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate – an advantage.
