Principal Systems Engineer - Satellite Observation Systems

The Missile and Space Systems Division is looking for a Principal Systems Engineer to lead the development of a satellite observation system!

The role requires a broad perspective, the ability to dive into intricate details, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the architecture and system design.
• Guide and direct a team of systems engineers.
• Collaborate with diverse engineering departments including Electronics, Mechanics, Electro-optics, Control, Wireless Communication, Software, and subcontractors.
• Define solutions to meet project targets (scope, schedule, and budget).
• Model system components and define interfaces between them.
• Lead technical and engineering decisions in coordination with procurement.
• Define and execute system integration and validation strategies.
• Conduct internal and client-facing design reviews.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electronics Engineering, Aeronautics, Electro-optics, or Mechanical Engineering – mandatory.
• Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Aeronautics, or Mechanical Engineering – an advantage.
• Proven 8+ years of experience in multidisciplinary systems engineering (System of Systems) – mandatory.
• Proven experience presenting technical concepts to clients – required.
• Demonstrated team leadership capabilities.
• Experience with the development of airborne and/or electro-optic/radar systems – an advantage.
• High level of English – reading, writing, and speaking.
• Ability to work in teams and effectively communicate with international clients.
