Research and Development Project Manager

About Us:

We are a fast-paced R&D team working on a cutting-edge project spanning multiple technical domains, including machine learning, computer vision, data pipelines, and software engineering.

Our small cross-functional team has grown recently and we are looking for an experienced R&D Project Manager to act as an operational co-pilot to the technical manager.

This role requires both technical proficiency and operational leadership. You will help streamline execution, ensure effective collaboration and resolve operational blockers.

Role Overview:

As our R&D Project Manager, you will:

• Collaborate directly with the Technical Manager, sharing operational leadership. Build a trusted, problem-solving partnership with the technical manager, gradually expanding your operational scope.
• Introduce and manage task ownership systems, ensuring clarity and accountability.
• Monitor progress, surface blockers, and drive completion of projects and experiments.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to coding tasks where necessary.
• Facilitate cross-domain collaboration, especially on multi-project dependencies.
• Promote knowledge sharing through efficient, lightweight practices.
• This is not a purely administrative role—you are expected to code, review, and deeply understand technical efforts while enabling the team’s productivity.

Key Qualifications:

• Proven project management experience with small, cross-functional teams in areas like software engineering, machine learning and research.
• Education: degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or a related field.
• Tools: Git and GitHub/GitLab, automation tools, JIRA, Slack etc.
• Coding: Python (preferred); other languages like C/C++ etc. – advantage.
• Practical experience with PyTorch, NumPy, and similar frameworks – advantage.
• Understanding of AI principles and algorithms, with a focus on image generation and classification, such as GAN, VAE, Diffusion etc. – advantage.
• Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Hebrew and/or Russian – advantage.
