AI/Medical Imaging Developer

The Opportunity

You'll join us as the third team member of our medical device startup, working directly with the CTO and CEO to revolutionize medical imaging through AI. This is a rare chance to have a massive impact - your code and architectural decisions will form the foundation of our product, and positively affect patient outcomes. You'll be free to experiment with cutting-edge AI techniques while building practical solutions directly impacting patient care. Over the next few years, you'll grow from an AI engineer into a technical leader who deeply understands medical AI's technology and business.

You're excited by the challenge of building something from the ground up using multiple technologies - from deep learning and computer vision to point cloud processing and classical image analysis. 

What You'll Do

* Architect and implement our AI pipeline for medical image analysis

* Build hybrid solutions combining classical computer vision with modern AI approaches

* Work with 3D data and develop novel processing techniques

* Optimize models for real-world clinical deployment

* Collaborate directly with the CTO to set technical strategy and roadmap

* Work closely with the physicians to optimize and validate your models, and see how your work impacts patient care

Must-haves in a Candidate

* Strong foundation in deep learning, computer vision, and medical imaging

* Proven track record building production ML systems in Python and C++

* Experience with 3D data processing

* Comfort with ambiguity and ability to make decisions with incomplete information

* Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly

* Passion for improving healthcare through technology

Nice to Have in a Candidate

* Prior startup experience

* MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

* Published research in AI/ML/Computer Vision

* Experience with FEM simulations

* Experience with NeRFs and 3D reconstruction
