The person in this role will lead the R&D group that will be developing next generation solutions of WSC Sports and will have end-to-end ownership and will be responsible for all aspects of development in the group, consisting of Backend, Frontend, Mobile and QA engineers - from technologies to processes to people management.

You’ll report to the VP R&D and be a part of the engineering management team, establishing the engineering vision, goals and culture.

What you’ll do:

• Be an inspiring leader. Such an individual that people wish to follow and work with.
• Manage a growing group of ~20 strong team members, led by 2 strong team leaders.
• Lead the design, architecture, and the scaling up of our solution, as well as maintain an agile development process.
• Be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects.
• Improve the group performance and effectiveness.
• Take overall responsibility for recruiting and scaling the team to support its growth needs.
• Develop, mentor and grow the group leadership.
  
  

• 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering
• 2+ years of experience of leading team leaders and a cross-functional team of 30+ high performing engineers
• Strong background in Mobile development or Mobile team leadership
• Proficiency in Backend programming and Object Oriented Design
• Team player, empathy, and someone who thrives working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience deploying and maintaining a 24/7 production environment
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Great collaboration and cross-functional organizational skills
