Key Responsibilities

• Independently lead and execute complex cybersecurity projects on a global scale, particularly within energy and power generation environments.
• Conduct thorough, assessments of security configurations and strategies for energy facilities, identifying opportunities for improvement and future-proofing.
• Act as a trusted advisor on cybersecurity projects, crafting and implementing comprehensive security strategies tailored to SCADA, EMS, and power plant operations.
• Provide well-founded policies and plans to strengthen cybersecurity policies and practices specific to energy infrastructure.
• Facilitate training sessions for clients, focusing on cybersecurity practices, risks, and mitigation strategies essential for the energy sector.
• Prepare high-level reports, presenting findings and tailored action plans for specific cyber risks associated with power plants and SCADA systems.
• Collaborate with a team of experts while maintaining a high level of self-direction and accountability, supporting continuous improvement in cybersecurity practices.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in cybersecurity.
• At least 5 years of experience in technological environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated understanding of cybersecurity architecture and design, with hands-on experience managing firewalls, servers, and networking in critical infrastructure.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, and energy industry standards.
• Experience drafting cybersecurity procedures and technical documentation.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Self-motivated and highly responsible, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of complex tasks.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a cybersecurity consultant, especially in the energy sector.
• Advanced knowledge of SCADA systems and power plant technologies (major advantage).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, OSCP, CCIE, CCSE) or equivalent military technical training.
• Proficient in Office 365, Azure, and AWS.
• Excellent presentation and client engagement skills, capable of explaining complex information clearly.
• Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects with tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel extensively; this role requires onsite presence abroad.
