QA Engineer - Student Position

OurCrowd is looking for a student with a passion for quality. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be a critical member of the development team, working to develop core functionality and test accordingly. You'll perform both exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. The ideal candidate must have a high level of attention to detail and be exceptionally good at identifying inconsistencies and flaws.

Responsibilities

• Test new development and bug fixes, identify defects, and document them in Jira.
• Write new manual test cases that include full scenarios to be covered in test cycles.
• Maintain and update existing manual and automated test cases.
• Participate in pod daily standups.
• Participate in pod rituals, including sprint planning, project kickoffs, demos, and other collaborative sessions.
• Participate in QA guild meetings.

Qualifications

• Computer science Student + Advantage
• Available for 25 - 30 hours a week
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Working out of the Jerusalem office
• Strong background in desktop and mobile web testing for complex hybrid applications
• Experience in testing mobile apps for iOS and Android an advantage
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Knowledge of SQL and scripting an advantage
• Experience working in an Agile development process
• Self-starter with great attention to detail to spot flaws and inconsistencies
• Analytical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
