Director, Venture Capital Partner

The Director, Venture Capital Partner will coordinate the development, direction, and strategy for Ormat Innovation venture activities by leading scouting and screening activities for Ormat Innovation. They will play a key role in supporting the strategic direction of Ormat CVC by helping to define, design, and validate the strategy.

Job Responsibilities

• Co-Lead the corporate Venture Capital.
• Execute scouting, screening, due diligence, and investment activities.
• Lead portfolio value creation and support portfolio growth.
• Improve processes and stakeholder engagement in the investment process.
• Develop Ormat Innovation ecosystem and network.
• Conduct research and industry mapping per project to inform investment strategy.
• Track portfolios return on investments (ROI).
• Oversee all financial aspects of the innovation initiatives.
  
  

• 3-5 years of related experience.
• Strong financial skills and a deep understanding of profitability drivers and risk management.
• Over 3 years in Venture Capital, Private Equity, or Management Consulting as an Analyst/Associate/Partner.
• Master's or MBA degree/Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  
  

• Demonstrated ability to interact with management and senior leaders and develop the ecosystem.
• Experience presenting to C-level executives.
• 3+ years of commercial/strategy/BD experience in the technology sector or energy sector is an advantage.
• Multinational working experience.
