Mobile QA Team Lead

We are looking for an exceptional Mobile QA Team Lead to join our dynamic QA department at MyHeritage.com. In this role, you will lead the quality assurance efforts for our iOS and Android apps, used by millions of users worldwide. What You'll Do:

• You will own the quality of MyHeritage's mobile apps, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, stability, and user experience.
• Lead and manage a team of QA engineers, including mentoring, training, and task assignment. You will spend approximately 70% of your time in hands-on QA activities, including test case development, execution, and automation.
• Foster and promote continuous learning and improve culture, collaboration, resolve conflicts and motivate team members.
• Communicate requirements, instructions, and feedback clearly to team members, stakeholders, and developers.
• Provide clear updates on time to management regarding project progress.
• Proactively anticipate potential issues and work plans about to go off track, suggest improvements, and implement preventive measures.
• Proactively and constantly push for continuous improvement within and outside the QA department.
• Contribute to shaping the overall QA strategy across all teams to ensure alignment and consistency.
  
  

What You Bring:

• B.Sc. in computer science or software engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience managing a QA Automation team, with prior experience in leading mobile QA teams being highly desirable.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Java/JavaScript/Ruby/Python automation development.
• Passion for delivering high-quality products and exceptional user experiences on time.
• Strong knowledge of mobile testing tools and frameworks (Appium/Espresso/XCUITest).
• Demonstrated experience in test automation and leveraging frameworks to enhance efficiency and test coverage.
• Thorough knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile or Scrum) and the role of QA in each phase.
• A strong understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for mobile applications — advantage.
• In-depth understanding of iOS and Android mobile platforms and simulators.
• Ability to create and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test automation for mobile applications.
• Effective in identifying defects, understanding their root cause, and working closely with developers to facilitate resolution.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills both in English and Hebrew.
• Experience in using mobile analytics tools to monitor and enhance app performance — an advantage.
• Flexibility to adapt to organizational changes and evolving project requirements.
