Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Backend Python Engineering Team Lead to lead a team of skilled backend Python engineers. You will be responsible for driving the development of high-performance, scalable backend systems, mentoring team members, and working closely with product and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 7+ backend Python engineers.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, efficient backend systems using Python.
• Oversee the development lifecycle: from feature design, implementation, and testing to deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of backend services with our AI platform.
• Analyze system performance, scalability, and reliability, and propose and implement improvements.
• Guide the team in adopting best practices in development, code reviews, and project planning.
• Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and drive innovative technical solutions to meet business needs.

Job Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience as a Software Developer, with at least 4 years working in Python.
• 4+ years of experience in a Team Lead or similar leadership role.
• Solid grasp of architectural design principles and the ability to evaluate trade-offs
• Ability to manage projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering to production deployment.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
• Small startup experience - An Advantage
