NewMoo Foods is a dynamic food-tech start-up company, aiming to revolutionize the dairy world by developing animal-free proteins for the global dairy industry, using novel approaches in plant molecular farming. We are looking for an exceptional and passionate molecular biology researcher to join us in this exciting and challenging mission.  

We believe in a multi-disciplinary work environment and as our molecular biology researcher you will plan and conduct advanced molecular biology and biochemical work. We encourage outside the box thinking, scientific discussion and new and creative ideas.

Key responsibilities

•  Planning and conducting plant transformation, DNA/RNA analysis, and protein identification and analysis.
• Performing and coordinating a wide range of laboratory research procedures and conducting a spectrum of complex support tasks and projects determined by our ongoing research.
• Maintaining high-quality documentation of all ongoing experiments.
• Hands-on execution of assays protocols.

Key requirements:

• At least MSc graduate in life sciences or related fields; PhD preferred.
• Industrial experience is mandatory.
• Proficient in gene transfection, DNA/RNA analysis, and gel electrophoresis methods– mandatory.
• Experienced in plant tissue culture– an advantage.
• Experienced in Golden Gate / Green Gate cloning technique – an advantage.
• Skilled in plant molecular biology work– an advantage.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a research team.
• High level of English communication skills, both verbal and written
• A creative person, with the ability to think outside the box.
• Has the ability to work under pressure and meet challenging schedules.
