Embedded Developer

A startup company developing drones operated via VR glasses and a unique control system that allows the human operator to perform actions remotely. They are responsible for the full development of the drone, including both the operating system (software) and the drone body (hardware).

Currently focused on the military and security markets, they are expanding into the civilian sector operating in Israel and the U.S. with plans to enter European and Asian markets.

They are post-Series B, having raised $40M so far, and were founded four years ago by successful entrepreneurs with previous exits.

The company is based in Tel Aviv, offers one work-from-home day, and has around 90 employees.

Tech stack: Linux, OOP, Git, Jira, Bitbucket, ROS, DDS, Python, Microservices, C++17, RT Embedded, Linux Kernel, Drivers, BSP, Radio, RF, Modem, RTOS.

Role description:

• As part of a two-person team, reporting to the team leader, this role involves C development in an embedded environment using ROS.
• The role includes maintaining and adding features to the operating system on the drone's controller and writing drivers for various hardware components. You’ll work closely with control and electronics teams.

Requirements-

• 3 years of hands-on experience in embedded C programming.
• Proven experience in hardware/software integration and debugging on hardware platforms.
• Proficiency in using oscilloscopes and troubleshooting PCBs.
• Familiarity with board design and schematics.
• Experience working with STM ARM microcontrollers.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
