Data Engineer

A startup company in the medical field that has developed a proactive preventive healthcare system (software) based on organizational databases and comprehensive historical data. This system provides early prediction of chronic diseases in patients and sends alerts to healthcare organizations.

Founded in 2018, the company has raised $84 million to date and, through the use of artificial intelligence and big data analytics, aims to improve global healthcare systems and predict patient deterioration in advance.

Located in Tel Aviv (near a train line), the company offers a hybrid work model with two days per week from home (Sundays and Wednesdays) and has around 28 employees globally, with approximately 18 in Israel.

Role overview: Part of the Core team consisting of 12 developers, reporting to the Head of R&D.

Tech Stack: Python, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Postgres/MySQL, Snowflake.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience writing code (preferably using Python)
• 3 years of experience as a data engineer
• Strong proficiency and passion in data engineering with significant experience in architecting, building and expanding production systems
• Experience with big data technologies and data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, dbt, Pandas, ETLs)
• Solid understanding of SQL, data modeling, ETL processes, data retrieval processes and data warehousing
• Experience in development of dashboards and visualizations for stakeholders
• Master of Exploratory Data Analysis driving business decisions
• Great written and spoken English
