Customer Support Agronomist

Casterra Ag, a leading global Israeli company for castor seed development and production and a wholly owned subsidiary of Evogene, is looking for an Agronomist to oversee and support clients and subcontractors of the company globally.

The position requires both customer support and agronomy skills.

Responsibilities:

· Periodic visits to growing sites to monitor soil preparation, cultivation & harvesting.

· Instructing, training, and providing ongoing Argo-technical support to clients.

· Developing and updating cultivation practices and growing protocols.

· Helping local out-growers with planning and adapting Castor growing protocol for their fields.

· Provide out-growers and/or clients with ongoing technical agronomic advice.

· Supervise out-growers and/or clients on behalf of Casterra and produce accurate periodical reports.

· Planning, conducting, and supervising agronomic experiments in various geographic areas.

· Explore new territories and improve sales and marketing activities.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in agriculture – advantage.

· At least 5 years of proven experience as a field agronomist or grower/farm manager.

· Experience in open field crops.

· Fluent in English is a must (speaking, reading, writing), other languages would be an advantage.

· Working experience in Africa – a strong advantage.

· Working experience in Brazil – a strong advantage.

· Working experience abroad anywhere – an advantage.

· Proficient in MS Office

· A willingness to travel at least 30% of the time.

· A proactive and results-oriented approach.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Strong interpersonal skills.
