Controller - Group Consolidation - Relocation to Malta

The position:

A new position created to support the company’s expansion, the Group Consolidation Controller will be a key member of the group-level finance team. The Group Consolidation Controller will oversee the financial consolidation process for the group’s entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while providing strategic insights for decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation process for all group entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with subsidiary finance teams to gather and review financial data, ensure alignment, and prepare consolidation adjustments (intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translations).
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, notes, disclosures, and statutory reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Provide analysis and insights on consolidated financial results and prepare management reports and presentations for top management and the board of directors.
• Develop, maintain, and improve consolidation policies, procedures, and tools to enhance efficiency and ensure strong internal controls over the consolidation process.
• Perform regular reviews, reconciliations, and audits to maintain data integrity and assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing consolidated financial data and insights.

Job Requirements

• Qualified accountant, CPA licensed.
• Minimum 7 years’ post-qualification experience, with a strong emphasis on financial consolidation in a multinational or multi-entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of consolidation accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in consolidation software, ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work with tight deadlines and handling assigned projects.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Exposure to the aviation industry is an asset.
• Open to relocate to Malta
