Job Title: Vice President of Research & Development (VP R&D)

Location: Ramat Gan, Israel (Hybrid)

In this pivotal role, you will define R&D strategy and methodologies, optimize work processes, and enhance the efficiency of our entire tech cycle. You'll bring strong leadership and visionary management skills to inspire a talented team of around 20 professionals, driving them towards excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:
• Define and implement R&D strategies aligned with company goals.
• Set aggressive improvement targets for the team and product, leading the group to achieve these objectives.

• Team Management:
• Manage, mentor, and provide technical leadership to the R&D team.
• Foster professional growth and ensure the team's continuous development.
• Recruit top talent to expand and strengthen the team.
• Build and manage remote teams effectively.

• Process Optimization:
• Establish and refine development methodologies for maximum efficiency.
• Optimize work processes across the entire technology cycle.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with Product, Delivery, Customer Success, HR, Finance, and Support teams.
• Oversee the entire development process from planning through successful release to customers.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of our products and how customers use them.

• Technical Leadership:
• Provide hands-on guidance and solve complex problems (technical, procedural, etc.).
• Lead the development of valuable content and features for our customers.
• Implement best practices in development, deployment, and maintenance.

Requirements:

Experience:

• At least 4 years of experience as a VP R&D in a startup environment, with hands-on involvement.
• Proven experience managing development teams of around 20 people, maintaining high levels of visibility and efficiency.
• 5 years of experience with Cloud Technologies.
• Experience building and managing remote teams is a must.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong background in Microservices Architectures.
• Proficiency in Java programming and Object-Oriented Design.
• Experience with High-Throughput Systems is a must.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts (hands-on experience not required but must comprehend the principles).
• Working with Big Data infrastructures is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with Information Security is an advantage.
• Leadership Skills:
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor teams toward achieving aggressive goals.
• Ability to initiate and lead Agile processes to completion.
• Innovative thinker with the ability to think outside the box.
• Proactive, highly motivated individual with an excellent work ethic and goal-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
