We are looking for a CFO for a startup company.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive team, reporting to the CEO, responsible for overseeing the financial health of the company.
This role involves strategic planning, risk management, financial reporting, and investor relations, ensuring that the company meets its financial goals while supporting its rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy:
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives, considering market trends and competitive landscape.
- Analyze and report on financial performance, providing insights to support strategic decision-making across the organization.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes to inform business strategy.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Funding & Investor Relations:
- Manage relationships with venture capitalists and other stakeholders, articulating the company's vision and growth potential.
- Prepare financial presentations and reports for investors and board meetings, highlighting strategic initiatives.
Accounting & Compliance:
- Oversee all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Implement effective internal controls and risk management practices to safeguard company assets.
Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure financial stability and support business operations.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement that align with overall business strategy.
Contract Management:
- Oversee management of customer and supplier contracts, ensuring favorable terms and compliance.
- Lead negotiations to optimize contract terms, mitigating risks while enhancing business relationships.
HR Oversight:
- Oversee the HR function, including talent acquisition, employee development, and performance management.
- Ensure alignment of HR strategies with overall business objectives and company culture to drive engagement and retention.
Strategic Business Leadership:
- Collaborate with the executive team to shape and implement business strategy, driving innovation and operational excellence.
- Provide financial insights that inform product development, market entry, and customer acquisition strategies.
Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Mentor and develop finance team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 7+ years of financial leadership experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology startup environment.
- Strong understanding of SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, churn rate, etc.) and financial modeling.
- Proven track record in fundraising and managing investor relations.
- Past experience in M&A and strategic investment processes
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Fluent English
