Senior Full Stack Javascript Engineer

Bliss Aesthetics is a Seed stage (well-funded) consumer focused digital health startup on a mission to help people become the best version of themselves. We’re building a driven, high-growth organization powered by amazing talent and innovative technology. Our ideal candidate is an experienced Javascript developer, a team player who loves coding, solving big problems and has tremendous passion for the role.

The candidate will report directly to our VP R&D and will work closely with fellow Developers to create elegant solutions to the biggest and most complex problems in HealthTech. The role will have the opportunity to take part in the architectural design and building of the foundation of the Bliss Platform, and help us design and build our extensive vision; to provide world-class HealthTech technology products and platform solutions based on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence. The ideal candidate will be comfortable across the whole development stack with expert-level knowledge of frontend & backend development for high traffic websites & applications serving millions of customers every month.

Scope of responsibilities:

• System architecture design
• Write clean, efficient, well-commented code
• Work autonomously and be comfortable executing features from start to finish
• Involved in all aspects of the application development lifecycle: Idea => Production
• Adhere to project schedules and effectively report progress to meet challenging deadlines

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer in JavaScript/NodeJS/NestJS/NextJS/React
• Experience with Micro Services architecture, Event Sourcing and modern frameworks
• Strong understanding of fundamental algorithms and data structure
• Proficient in database development such as SQL and NoSQL databases
• Proven DevOps pipelines and Infrastructure experience with GCP and/or AWS
• Experience in API design and development
• Ability to see the bigger picture and carry out system architecture planning
• High standards for code quality, testability, maintainability, security, and performance
• Documentation skills for all audiences (Design Documents, Logic Flows, Data Modeling, Project Plans, Support Documents)
• Experienced with building the full application release cycle (CI/CD)
• Eager to learn and grow in a fast paced startup environment
